Fiona S. Baker holds a PhD in Education from the University of Exeter, UK.  She is BEd faculty at Emirates College for Advanced Education in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where she writes and delivers courses in Human Development, Learners and Learning and Early Childhood Education.   She supervises teaching practice in schools and researches parental involvement and content and language integrated learning and early childhood development.  She is the mother of an active five year old who enjoys and benefits from unit blocks
