Saudi Arabia allocated a record $28 billion in its budget for 2008
for education and training.
The funds set aside for human resource development including
higher education, and technical and vocational training represent more than a
quarter of the new budget. Special allocations have also been made to train
teachers, develop academic curricula and improve the education atmosphere, in addition
to building schools, universities and training centers.
